Yin does wonders for joint health, flexibility, circulation, and mental focus. This practice stretches and targets both the deep connective tissues between the muscles, and the fascia throughout the body while regulating the body's flow of energy. The time spent in these postures is much like time spent in meditation. We invite you to get intimate with the self, with feelings, sensations, and emotions, something of which can be easy to avoid in a fast paced practice. You will gain greater mental stability and become comfortable with sitting still. Yin Yoga is a gentle and relaxing all-level class that works deeply into the connective tissues and joints of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine and is suitable to all levels of students through extended holds of postures. This is a great class for beginners or advance students looking for a restful class that focuses on restoring flexibility and/or working deeply into joints and tissues that are “locked up” from past injuries or from repetitive motion. This class slows down and becomes and evening of long deep poses and magical community.
